Jacksonville Volunteers
Jacksonville's Emergency Medical Auxiliary (JEMA)
The Jacksonville Emergency Medical Auxiliary (JEMA) is an organization comprised of EMS providers with varying levels of experience. JEMA periodically furnishes additional support to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department during various events/incidents. Current JEMA members include flight medics, critical care medics, ER & OR nurses with EMS certifications, SWAT/Tactical Medics, and those from other EMS disciplines. Experience levels vary throughout the organization, ranging from six months to thirty years.
JEMA is currently seeking new volunteers, including EMTs, paramedics, nurses, or physicians working in a related field. Quarterly EMS training, ACLS, and BLS recertification opportunities are provided within the organization. For JEMA members in good standing, inoculations and TB tests are available. If you are interested in remaining connected to the EMS field and working alongside a dynamic organization like the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, we have a spot for you. See the attached links for details.
