JaxParks Summer Camp Starts Today

JaxParks makes summertime the best time for youth with a bevy of camp experiences packed with sports, arts, adventure and friends. Now through July, youth ages 6 – 12 can participate in one or more of three two-week sessions available. Keep your kids active and engaged from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with a variety of activities. Join JaxParks for Summer Night Lights

The lights are on after dark at several community centers throughout Jacksonville. Every Friday and Saturday, now through July 31, teens ages 13 - 17 can visit 5 JaxParks locations from 6 - 10 p.m. for free music, dancing, movies, basketball, painting, game truck and more. When school is out, summer fun is in! – Monday is the first day of JaxParks’ annual Rec-n-Roll summer program, an initiative that provides free, supervised, recreational and engaging activities for Jacksonville youth throughout the season to minimize the opportunity for violence and crime. Children ages 6 - 17 are invited to enjoy games, activities, sports and more in a safe place throughout weekdays through July 30. Programs are from 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. No registration required. Notice is hereby given that the Honorable Tommy Hazouri, President of the Jacksonville City Council, hereby schedules an IN - PERSON with (STREAMING VIEWING OPTIONS ONLY) MEETING FOR THE 2021 – 2022 INSTALLATION OF COUNCIL LEADERSHIP OFFICERS – Council President and Council Vice President to be held in conjunction with Members of the Jacksonville City Council.  Notice is given that other elected or appointed members of Boards and Commission are invited to attend. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 24, 2021, 12:00 P.M.  The meeting will be held in the Jacksonville City Council Chambers, located at 117 West Duval Street, First Floor, Jacksonville, Florida.  Additionally, the Lynwood Roberts Room located at 117 West Duval Street, First Floor City Hall has been reserved for overflow seating and streaming of the activity.
