Today, Mayor Lenny Curry announced the recipients of the Mayor’s Strategic Partnerships Initiative Award. This award recognizes partnerships that have transformed the relationship between sectors and led to measurable benefits for low-and moderate-income individuals and families. Today Mayor Lenny Curry, Fire Chief Keith Powers and Sheriff T.K. Waters highlighted success stories of the Missing Endangered Persons Search and Rescue (MEPSAR) program and announced a new volunteer registry called R.E.V.A.M.P. Duval.

Volunteers are needed for the 28th Annual St. Johns River Celebration, Saturday, March 18, from 8 a.m. to noon (times vary according to cleanup site). Participants will help spruce up the city by collecting litter and debris from dozens of pre-selected riverfront and inland sites (sites are listed below). The City and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful are hosting the event in partnership with Florida Inland Navigation District and Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation as part of the Florida Great American Cleanup, a statewide effort to protect the environment throughout the spring.
