Bicycle and pedestrian planning are administered by the Transportation Planning Division of the Planning and Development Department. Projects, programs, and planning efforts are prioritized to support the expansion of safe, comfortable, and connected bicycle and pedestrian networks, designed to serve users of all ages and abilities. Biking and walking are widely regarded as cost-effective ways to address air quality and mobility issues, while concurrently improving health and quality of life.
HAPPENING NOW! The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is conducting a corridor safety study to evaluate the current conditions along University Boulevard, from San Jose Boulevard to Fort Caroline Road, and develop recommendations to enhance safety for all users - motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users. Residents are invited to read about the study and submit feedback via the public survey by clicking HERE.
