The City of Jacksonville teamed up with local non-profit organization Groundwork Jacksovnille and applied for a grant through the Arbor Day Foundation and TD Bank to beautify the City of Jacksonville's S-line trail that runs through the urban core of Jakcsonville. The grant awarded the City and Groundwork Jacksvonille to assist with the creation of the Biodiversity Corridor along the section of the S-Line between N Davis St and Boulevard. This biodiversity corridor includes a pollinator garden, bioswales, rain garden, spice garden, and 25 newly planted trees to engage the community and beautify the City. 
The ceremony will consist of the final planting of a live oak along this corridor to provide shade once this tree reaches maturity. Representatives from TD Bank and the Arborday Foundation will be in attendance as we commence the planting of this tree and finish off this portion of the Biodiversity Corridor.
