BJP Roadway and Drainage Improvements
In May 2014, Jacksonville's City Council approved a 20-year extension of the six-cent Local Option Gas Tax (LOGT). The legislation contained a stipulation that a portion of the revenue would be dedicated to a road work program that included several projects originally programmed under the Better Jacksonville Plan, but were not finished due to lack of sufficient revenue in the BJP program.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is responsible for completing the projects in the LOGT Work Program, called JTAMobilityWorks.
The BJP projects that were not included in the LOGT Work Program will move forward based on the availability of funding.
