Council President Brosche makes brief remarks to a crowd gathered to unveil a new park initiative for Henry Brown (Kooker Park), located at 1400 East 20^th Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202 on Jacksonville’s Eastside. The upgrade was funded by a $100,000 grant from NFL Foundation’s Grassroots Initiative — applied for by the Jaguars Foundation — and a $25,000 grant from ESPN. The plan calls for field improvements — a new irrigation system and grass playing surface and laser grading — as well as scoreboard and concession stand enhancements and a new multisport cage. They are expected to be completed in September.
