Born and raised in Florida, Robin is a lifetime resident of the state who’s called Jacksonville home for more than 30 years. The co-owner of a commercial printing business, Robin has always worked in the private sector traditionally in the fields of advertising, printing and direct mail.
Since arriving in Jacksonville in 1980 Robin has been active in a variety of civic and charitable organizations. He has served as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and as a member of the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Robin has also served on the boards of the Clara White Mission, the Suicide Prevention Center, the Civic Roundtable and the Jacksonville Jaycees Community Foundation.
In 2006 Robin participated in the Jacksonville Community Council Inc. study entitled “Reducing Murder: A Community Response” which was the impetus for the Jacksonville Journey anti-crime initiative. In 2010 he completed a term of service on the Board of Directors of Riverside-Avondale Preservation where he also served as Chairman of its first ever Public Safety Committee.
Robin also writes a column on politics and public policy for The Jacksonville Observer and has been politically active for a number of years. In 2004 he was elected to the Duval County Republican Executive Committee, the governing body of the local Republican Party, and was subsequently re-elected for a second four-year term in 2008. In 2010 he was elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Duval County.
Robin and his wife, Joanna, a Jacksonville native and Lee High School alumnus, met at Florida State University. They’ve been married for 28 years and are longtime residents of Riverside.
