CM Freeman Host Senior Mother's Day Brunch at Lincoln Villa Senior Center
The participants enjoyed a hearty brunch breakfast and were presented a bouquet of flowers from Council Member Terrance Freeman, on hand to speak to the seniors on Council Member Freeman’s behalf was Gerrie Ford-Hardin, Executive Council Assistant. Ms. Ford-Hardin also shared information regarding the city council and other city resources. This event was in partnership with the City of Jacksonville’s Senior Services Department.

The festival will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in an effort to educate the community about the historical significance of Florida’s observed Emancipation Day. Cities like Jacksonville in the State of Florida are acknowledging this special day of freedom.

The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services is “Out of Space" and they are urgently looking for foster homes for 60 dogs for six weeks by 4/24.
