The participants enjoyed a hearty brunch breakfast and were presented a bouquet of flowers from Council Member Terrance Freeman, on hand to speak to the seniors on Council Member Freeman’s behalf was Gerrie Ford-Hardin, Executive Council Assistant. Ms. Ford-Hardin also shared information regarding the city council and other city resources. This event was in partnership with the City of Jacksonville’s Senior Services Department. 

The City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Preparedness Division is thrilled to announce the inaugural JaxReady Fest, an interactive preparedness experience aimed at empowering residents with the knowledge and resources to stay safe and resilient in the face of all hazards that threaten our community. 

The City of Jacksonville, together with the Jacksonville Jaguars, will host five Stadium of the Future Community Huddles, so that citizens can learn more – and ask questions – about the proposed stadium deal. 

Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman, The Ritz Theater & Museum and the City of Jacksonville are excited to announce the fourth annual Jacksonville Emancipation Celebration taking place in James Weldon Johnson Park. The festival will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in an effort to educate the community about the historical significance of Florida’s observed Emancipation Day.  Cities like Jacksonville in the State of Florida are acknowledging this special day of freedom.

The City of Jacksonville Public Service Grant Council is excited to invite representatives of Jacksonville-based nonprofit and faith-based organizations to a crucial Public Service Grants Information Session. This event is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Legends Center, 5130 Soutel Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32208.

The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services is “Out of Space" and they are urgently looking for foster homes for 60 dogs for six weeks by 4/24.
