About HVRP
The Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP), managed by the City of Jacksonville’s Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD), is dedicated to helping homeless veterans get back on their feet. Supported by the Jacksonville Veterans Resource and Reintegration Center, this program is focused on employment, training, and providing access to vital community resources.
What We Offer
HVRP uses a personalized case management approach to connect veterans with critical support services, emphasizing job placement and career development. We provide:

Employment & Training Services – Job placement, training, and career counseling.

Resume & Interview Preparation – Assistance with resume writing, interview techniques, and access to professional attire.

Support Services – Access to work tools, transportation assistance, and housing referrals (temporary, transitional, or permanent).

Health & Wellness Referrals – Connections to medical care, substance abuse treatment, and mental health resources.
Who Is Eligible?
Veterans must meet the following criteria to apply:

Homeless or at risk of homelessness – Living in a temporary shelter, staying temporarily with others due to economic hardship, or facing imminent loss of housing through eviction or foreclosure.

Documentation Required – Proof of imminent loss of housing (e.g., eviction notice) is necessary.

We also coordinate with veterans' service programs like the CareerSource Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program and maintain close ties with community partners, such as the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and relevant federal departments.
